Valuequest Investment Advisors Pvt. Ltd. is a SEBI registered Portfolio Manager (SEBI registration number INP000003724) and offers discretionary Portfolio Management Service to customers. The Portfolio Manager may offer non-discretionary as well as advisory services to clients in the future.

The discretionary portfolio manager will independently manage the funds of each client at his discretion in accordance with the profile of the customer. The non-discretionary portfolio manager provides advisory services enabling the client to take decision with regards to his portfolio.

As per SEBI regulations, minimum corpus required to be brought in by customers is Rs. 50 lacs. There is no upper limit to investment through Portfolio Management. The corpus can be introduced by cheque or by transfer of shares (value calculated at closing share price on date of transfer or the date on which portfolio value crosses Rs. 50 lacs).

The portfolio manager shall charge a fee as per the agreement with the client for rendering portfolio management services. The fee so charged may be a fixed amount or a performance-based fee or a combination of both. However, no upfront fees shall be charged by the portfolio manager directly or indirectly to the clients. The agreement between the portfolio manager and the client shall, inter-alia, also include the quantum and the manner of fees payable by the client for each activity for which service is rendered by the portfolio manager directly or indirectly.

The client may withdraw partial amounts from his portfolio, in accordance with the terms of the agreement between the client and the Portfolio Manager. However, the value of investment in the portfolio after such withdrawal shall not be less than the applicable minimum investment amount.

Yes the clients have the option of direct on-boarding without intermediation of persons engaged in distribution services and at the time of on-boarding of clients directly, no charges except statutory charges shall be levied.

Portfolio managers cannot impose a lock-in on the investment of their clients. However, a portfolio manager can charge applicable exit fees from the client for early exit, as laid down in the agreement subject to provision of SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/IMD/DF1/CIR/P/2020/26.

Customers can withdraw funds anytime they want by giving a notice to us, as long as post withdrawal, the corpus does not fall below minimum SEBI mandated portfolio size of Rs. 50 lacs. However, we advise clients to give us at least a month’s notice to ensure that there is not too much of impact cost due to forced liquidation.

It is not possible for Portfolio Managers to guarantee minimum portfolio returns. Our endeavor is generating superior absolute returns and historical returns can be used to judge our fund management capability.

Investors can log on to the website of SEBI www.sebi.gov.in for information on SEBI regulations and circulars pertaining to portfolio managers. Addresses of the registered portfolio managers are also available on the SEBI website. Information on monthly reports submitted by Portfolio Managers to SEBI can be accessed at https://www.sebi.gov.in/sebiweb/other/OtherAction.do?doPmr=yes.

Level 1 – Client can contact the Compliance Officer for redressal of issues by sending email at [email protected] (or) can call 022 – 69394444 .

ValueQuest shall endeavor to redress the investor complaint (s) within 21 (twenty-one) calendar days from the date of the receipt the complaint by ValueQuest.

Level 2 – If client is not satisfied with the resolution provided through the Level 1 method of handling complaint; the investor / client can escalate the issues to the next higher level i.e. to the Principal Officer of ValueQuest Investment Advisors Pvt Ltd. Such escalation should be made in writing email to the [email protected]

If the Client does not receive a satisfactory response from the Portfolio Manager, they may approach SEBI to address complaints against Portfolio Managers registered with SEBI. Complaints should be filed in the SEBI Complaints Redress System (SCORES) at https://scores.sebi.gov.in.

After exhausting all available options for resolution of dispute, if client shall not satisfy with outcome, he/she may avail online conciliation and / or online arbitration as mentioned through Securities Market Approach for resolution through Online Dispute Resolution portal (SMART ODR portal) at https://smartodr.in/login

Dispute resolution through the ODR Portal can be initiated provided the complaint/dispute is not under consideration in SCORES guidelines, not pending before any arbitral process, court, tribunal, or consumer forum, or is non-arbitrable in terms of Indian law.
